Foundation Poses for Beginners

Flexible schedule
Online seminar

Program Overview

Most people start yoga expecting flexibility exercises, but the real challenge is understanding what your body should actually be doing in each pose. This program focuses on six fundamental poses that appear in nearly every yoga class.

You'll learn Mountain Pose, Downward Dog, Warrior I, Triangle, Child's Pose, and Corpse Pose. Sounds simple, but there's a surprising amount happening in each one. We break down the alignment details that make these poses effective rather than just approximate shapes you're holding.

What You're Actually Learning

Each pose gets roughly 45 minutes of instruction time. We cover foot placement, weight distribution, where your gaze should be, and what muscles should feel engaged. You'll also learn the most common alignment errors—like dumping weight into your lower back in Downward Dog or collapsing your arch in Warrior I.

The program includes video demonstrations from three different angles and modification options for tight hamstrings, shoulder issues, or knee sensitivity. No background in fitness or flexibility required, just willingness to pay attention to detail.
